Yarn Bombing

Bring your needles and hooks and any stash yarn that you’d like to contribute! For yarn bombing, acrylic and hearty wool yarn work well, worsted or heavier. We’ll have a small batch of yarn to start as well, plus any donations from Yarn Farm Friends in early to mid-October.

On Thursday we’ll start to make motifs and crocheted/knitted fabric, and keep going through the weekend.

Once we have finished motifs/fabric ready to hang we will yarn bomb the Kingston Waterfront! We expect the yarn bombing to begin on Friday. We’ll have a table at our sidewalk café dedicated to makers and yarn bombers.

Feeling more purposeful and charitable? Make hats, mittens or other winter gear (in advance) to hang up around the Kingston Waterfront for finders to keep! Include a tag (or we’ll provide one) that says, “Yes I’m free!” or “Take me I’m yours!”
