Welcome back sashiko stitchers! This is Part 2 of our sashiko series. To register you must have already taken Sashiko Stitching at Yarn Farm Kingston and learned how to use a palm thimble. If you register without having taken the first class, Sashiko Stitching, you may use your credit to sign up for that class first on a future date that it is offered, take the value in store credit, or get a refund less processing fees charged to us by our payments processor Square.
In this two-hour follow up class, we will go beyond the technical use of the palm thimble and venture into using various sashiko patterns (through cloth carbon paper, chalk pencils, stencils, rulers and more) and how to use sashiko to strengthen, mend and embellish your fabric.
Jocelyn will share these techniques as taught to her by Atsushi Futatsuya, a third generation master sashiko artist. (For more on Atsushi and opportunities to learn directly from this master, see his website and Instagram.)
Your materials fee will cover all the essential materials and tools for class (and reflects 10% off) and are yours to keep. The kit will *not* include a sashiko needle and thimble; bring these from your first class or buy them at Yarn Farm as needed.
You may shop for additional sashiko materials and tools the day of class and use a 10% discount. (Yay!)
