In 2024 we present a series of four classes over one month for kids to learn knitting fundamentals in a small group setting. Kids will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and how to bind off. Proficiency in knitting will come over time with steady practice, in between classes and after the end of the course.

We plan to start a new batch each month on the first Friday of the month each month from February through June.

This class is a good option for kids ranging from approx. 8-12 years old. Older kids are welcome to take the Beginning Knitting classes on Saturdays. If your child is younger than 8 but you think s/he is capable of taking the course, please call or come by to chat more.

Class Size: min 2 and max 4
Course Fee: $100. This is for four 45 min sessions on four Fridays this month. No makeups for missed classes. If your child misses a class our teacher will try to catch her/him up in the next class.
Materials Fee (required): $20 for two balls of beginner friendly yarn and wooden straight needles.

Total course + materials fee: $120.

We kindly request that parents stay on-site during the 45 min class.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.
