Making Simple Lace (Intermediate Knitting Techniques)

Are you a beginner knitter who is ready for more but not sure how to go about it? In these technique sessions we’ll cover one or a few related techniques so you can grow your knitting skill set and gain more confidence to get to your next level!

Each session will be offered twice a month. For most sessions, we simply ask you to bring worsted weight, light colored wool yarn and appropriate-sized needles, typically size 7 or 8. A pencil or pen and notebook may also be helpful if you like taking notes.

Making simple lace

Apr 11 or Apr 13

We’ll get you started with lace and yo’s and k2tog’s and introduce you to following a chart. We’ll reference Joyce Fassbender’s free knitting pattern, Learn to Knit Lace Scarf in class.

Please bring worsted weight wool yarn, size 8 knitting needles.

Optional: print out a copy of the full pattern if you’d like!

We will have a handout of one lace chart pattern that we will focus on in class and provide this to you.

Teacher: Jocelyn Songco
Class fee: $20 for each session you attend

Materials fee: Please bring yarn and needles appropriate for your session, or feel free to shop for these things the day of your session. Some sessions require that you bring a knitted swatch that you will use to learn the technique(s); please check and come prepared!
