Our beginner knitting class… right-sized for kids! We think this class is best for kids around 10 to 16 years old. Please feel free to come by or call if you’d like to chat about whether or not this class is right for your child.

In this 45-minute Kids Beginner Knitting class we will cover how to cast on and knit. Class fee will include the cost of the class and materials, i.e., beginner-friendly, quality yarn and needles. (One skein of Kelbourne Woolens Germantown 100% wool and Ginger wooden straight needles.) After their first class, your child may come to this beginner knitting class as often as desired, to learn how to purl (the second of two types of stitches), to cast off (how to get stitches off the needles and finish a project), or for support/reinforcement/refresher on any of these techniques. Subsequent classes are $20 for each class with no additional materials required.
