Knit Fingerless Mitts Using Magic Loop with Barbara

  • 21 W. Strand St. Kingston US (map)

Ready to go beyond beginner knitting?

Learn small circumference knitting on one long circular needle with Barbara! The magic loop method is an alternative to using double-pointed needles aka “DPNs”. We’ll use the free Button Flap Fingerless Mitts pattern by Missy Angus available on Ravelry.

In this class we will cast on then learn how to divide the stitches and join for working in the round. Then we will continue working in the round using this method until we reach the thumb hole. This portion of the mitt is worked flat, back and forth. Once the thumbhole is completed we will rejoin for working in the round and continue, using magic loop method until the desired length is reached.

Skills required: long tail cast on, knit, purl, bind off.

Teacher: Barbara McCormick
Class Size: min 2 and max 5
Class fee $50, includes $5 store credit*

Materials fee: We kindly request that you purchase your yarn for class from us, which helps our business sustainability!
