Ready to go beyond beginner knitting?
Learn to make a pair of toe-up socks at the same time by Magic Loop with Dania. You should be comfortable casting on and knitting in the round. Experience making socks is not required.
By making your socks at the same time, you may experience increased knitting satisfaction by:
Avoiding second sock syndrome, a common affliction for knitters who make socks
Matching the socks to each other with way less note-taking and frustration
Feeling like a genius!
This class meets for two 90-minute sessions on Thurs April 17 and April 24 at 6pm. Regrets, no makeups.
Teacher: Dania Rajendra
Class Size: min 2 and max 8

Materials fee: We kindly request that you purchase your yarn for class from us, which helps our business sustainability! You will get 10% off your yarn for class, as well as needles/notions for class as needed. We recommend the sock yarn from local dyers Into the Whirled, Crafter Gamer Geek, and Newburgh. We strongly recommend two different colors for your first pair. Please wind or cake your yarn before class.

Circular needle with a 40” cable at the size you need to achieve gauge
About choosing your needle:
Success and pleasure with Magic Loop depends in large part on your needles. To make these socks, you’ll need one pair of circular needles in the size that you need to produce gauge (usually size 1 or 2) with a 40” cable. It is important that your cable be thin and flexible, not stiff. Brands known for this include ChiaGoo (the cables on their needles are nylon-coated steel) and Addi (the cables are nylon). If you’re working with interchangeable needles, please be sure to bring the tools to connect your needles to the cables, as Magic Loop twisting can loosen the join.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.
