Learn to make a colorwork hat in this two-hour session with Dania following the Floral The Way hat pattern, which showcases a beautiful floral design in stranded colourwork, adding a vibrant touch to your winter wardrobe. Check our sample made by our sales associate Lyra in-store for inspiration! You should be comfortable knitting, purling and knitting in the round (in any manner whether on a circular needle or double-pointed needles).

Class fee $65, which includes the hat pattern that Yarn Farm will purchase for you from Ravelry and send to you by email as soon as we process your class registration. Do not buy the pattern directly.*
Materials fee: We kindly request that you purchase your yarn for class from us, which helps our business sustainability! You will get 10% off your yarn for class, as well as needles for class if needed. Our in-store sample used three skeins (one each of three different colors) of Ultra Alpaca Light.
Please bring:
Print out of Floral The Way pattern with you to class as we don’t have a printer in-store. We recommend a hard copy but you can bring a digital file and use an e-reader/iPad if that works well for you.
Needles and notions, unless you’d like to purchase them at Yarn Farm. You will get 10% off any yarn and/or supplies purchased for class.
According to the pattern, you’ll need:
Circular needles, 16” / 40 cm, in two sizes: Main needles: US 5 / 3.75 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge; and Ribbing needles: US 3 / 3.25 mm, or 0.50 mm smaller than main needles. Gauge: 24 sts and 27 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in stranded colourwork in the round, blocked
Stitch marker (1), tapestry needle*Don’t buy the pattern directly! We can’t refund you if you purchase the pattern from Ravelry directly, and we do need to sell you the pattern as part of the class fee, so that we know the designer has gotten paid for the use of your copy of their their pattern that we will use in class. So, after registering, HANG TIGHT… we’ll buy your copy of the pattern and email it to you via Ravelry ASAP when we process your registration. Thank you!
Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) and pattern cost of $6.50 is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Refund is less these fees because they are non-refundable fees charged to us, and since you can keep the pattern even if you need to cancel. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.
