Ready to spin your own handspun yarn?

Learn how to spin on a drop spindle in this two-hour session. You’ll get a drop spindle and some wool fiber to use in class and then take home with you. This session is good if you’ve been curious about spinning and have never tried it, or if you’re considering buying a spinning wheel but aren’t yet ready for that expense. Drop spindles are an affordable and portable way to spin and since you can spin on them whenever you have a moment, you’ll be surprised how much yarn you can produce with it. In this class you’ll learn how to use a drop spindle and draft (handle) wool fiber specially prepared for spinning into yarn. After learning the basics, proficiency in spinning yarn will come with practice over time, keep at it!

Class Size: min 2 and max 5
Class fee $75, includes a drop spindle made from maple wood, and some beginner friendly fiber to get your started. You have the option to purchase additional fiber after class and will have a 10% student discount for your fiber shopping on the day of your class.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.
