Zero to hero! Three amigurumi camp sessions on 1/23, 1/30 and 2/6.
Ready to join the amigurumi craze? Don’t know how to crochet at all?!
At Yarn Farm Kingston we are offering a three-session ‘camp’ where we crochet together to make one Wooble each week, using the ridiculously cute Zero to Hero box set of not one, not two but three Woobles!
Haven’t heard about Woobles? It’s a beginner kit where you learn how to make amigurumi, or a super cute crocheted stuffed toy. The Zero to Hero Woobles kit comes complete with video support and all the materials, tools and notions you need to make three amigurumi!
We start with a simple yet simply sweet penguin, Pierre, then move on to a dear dinosaur, Fred, and finally finish with a lovely llama, Gertrude! Fall in love with the Woobles just as we have.
The camp plan is as follows: in Week 1 you’ll get your kit and an overview of its contents, which we’ll unbox together. We’ll get started with Pierre the Penguin through which you’ll learn basic crochet stitches. Then you can continue and maybe finish him in the days after class on your own, including with support from the Woobles videos that you’ll have access to through your kit!
In Week 2 we’ll start off with show and tell of our penguins (maybe you renamed yours?) and we’ll cover any hiccups anyone faced in making and finishing him, and review crochet stitches that we’ve done so far. Then on to Fred the Dinosaur!
Finally, in Week 3 we’ll have show and tell of our dinos and make sure all went well in making him, and then it’s time for Gertrude!
Each camp session is scheduled for 90 minutes, which we estimate will be about one hour of active teaching time interspersed with thirty minutes of crocheting together. Sign up soon if you’re interested as space and kits are limited.
This class is geared for very beginner crocheters… those who have never crocheted before or are beginners who want support in a small group setting. If you’re more proficient but still want to join, no problem! Just be patient with (and maybe help assist) the new crocheters!

Total class fee $150, which includes the Woobles Zero to Hero kit for $85 (retail price $120) and teaching fee of $65. You will receive your kit in the first day of class.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund. You’ll have the option to keep your kit to do on your own and receive a refund for the $65 class (teaching) fee only.
