Ready to go beyond beginner knitting?
Learn to make an asymmetrical shawl with Jocelyn in this 2-hour session. Use that very special skein from your stash, or buy a beautiful indie dyed one from Yarn Farm Kingston. You’ll have $5 store credit to use towards your yarn and/or needles purchase for class. Using a very flexible and very pretty free pattern by Ksenia Naidyon, the Stormy Sky Shawl, Jocelyn will guide you through the steps of prepping your hank and following a written pattern, including tips to make it more easeful and less confusing! She’ll discuss how to make tassels and block your finished shawl once you’re done with the knitting part, to create a fabulous accessory to transition to spring!
Please bring:
Print out of pattern with you to class as we don’t have a printer in-store. We recommend a hard copy but you can bring a digital file and use an e-reader/iPad if that works well for you.
US 9 needle (per pattern) and notions, unless you’d like to purchase them at Yarn Farm. You will get 10% off any yarn and/or supplies purchased for class. Check the pattern for what you’ll need (but no need to bring blocking materials to class).
Bring or buy one lovely fingering weight (sock yarn weight) skein of yarn.

Class fee $65
Materials fee: Optional purchase of one skein of fingering weight yarn. You will have $5 store credit* to use towards your optional yarn/needles purchase. You are also welcome to bring a skein of yarn from home to use in class. We welcome you to shop for your yarn in the days or hours before class to save time on the evening of the class.
*Store credit: The $5 store credit may be used solely towards the purchase of yarn and needles for your class and no later than the date of your class. There is no cash value for the $5 store credit offered as part of this class.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund less credit card processing fee (effective 4/11/23) is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date. Credit towards another class is provided for any cancellation made from six days through the day before the class date. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.
